On October 19th, 2025, President Donald Trump appointed Chaldean business man and community leader Mark Savaya as the United States Special Envoy to Iraq. Mark Savaya was born in Iraq and now lives in the United States. His family originates from the Chaldean village of Tel Keppe in northern Iraq.

On August 27th, 2025, Arizona Man James Paul Stanley was arrested after driving an SUV through the locked steel gates and front doors of the Holy Family Chaldean Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona. Surveillance videos showed the vehicle smashing through the entrance and damaging another set of painted doors inside.
