BREAKING: Gunfire Reported in Christian Town of Tel Tamer Despite Ceasefire

Reports emerging from northeastern Syria indicate renewed violence in the Christian town of Tel Tamer, despite the announcement of a ceasefire earlier today. Tel Tamer lies directly along a volatile frontline separating Kurdish People’s Protection Units (YPG) positions and forces of the Syrian Army, making it particularly vulnerable to sudden flare-ups.

Local sources say gunfire was heard in and around Tel Tamer approximately two hours after the ceasefire was meant to take effect, raising serious concerns about the stability and enforcement of the truce.

Earlier in the day, heavy artillery shelling reportedly struck the Christian village of Tal Jemaa and surrounding areas within the Tel Tamer district, located in the Hasakah countryside.
